Okay, so here it is: the last episode of Himitsu no Arashi-chan (ひみつの嵐ちゃん). Naturally, all five members are present, and it’s just going to be a flurry of memorable scenes from the show’s five years in service. In fact, with something worth a screenshot popping up every second, I didn’t get nearly all the images that deserved to be included here. They went through everything quite quickly, going for breadth and mostly trusting that the viewers would remember the moments.
Of course, they decided to use the share house set for this last gathering, but it’s totally empty – they’re moving out, and have their bags packed.
Ohno-san doesn’t seem to have much to carry.
Sakurai-san decided to bang his luggage down the stairs instead of carry it down. What’s up with that?
Up in the top right corner, it says we can expect final messages from the Arashi guys started at 10:38 p.m., but it beats me why they tell people this – maybe they think that if viewers suspect it’s just a highlight episode they’ll change the channel?
This is the second-to-last episode of Himitsu no Arashi-chan (ひみつの嵐ちゃん), and therefore the last “regular” episode, since the last episode will naturally be more of a summation. It’s a stereotypical HNA – a share house segment first, and then a mannequin must-item segment after. The guests for the share house segment were Suzuki Honami-san (鈴木保奈美) and Mizuhara Kiko-san (水原希子).
The hosts were Matsumoto-kun and Ninomiya-kun, and they barely got done noting that they were the pair that started the share house segment less than a year ago – in late April of last year before the doorbell rang.
Why these two? After all, for the last share house, shouldn’t the guest/guests have even more name recognition? Well, you see, Suzuki-san and Mizuhara-san are both in Ninomiya-kun’s new movie Platina Data (or Platinum Data), and that movie had its first day in theaters two days after this episode aired. So yeah, that’s why they’re here.
This episode of Himitsu no Arashi-chan (ひみつの嵐ちゃん) featured a Share House segment with Suzuki Kyoka-san (鈴木京香) as the guest (you might remember her from Risou no Musuko) and then a Last Mission segment (the last last mission segment, in fact) with the usual special guests and hilarity.
The Arashi hosts were Sakurai-san and Matsumoto-kun, and there’s a bit of talk between them about their coming activities – especially the fact that three Arashi members have movies coming out this year.
Suzuki-san has something for them, and instead of delaying, they get to it right away.
Ohno Satoshi-san and Ninomiya Kazunari-kun host this episode of Himitsu no Arashi-chan (ひみつの嵐ちゃん), and they come onto the share house set playing with the cup-and-ball toys. When Nino-kun makes a slick move with his (as he often does – he seems quite experienced with these toys), Ohno-san looks at him like this:
He then whispers “Omedetou” (congratulations) to Nino-kun and makes an even funnier face.
You’ll have to watch to see which in his repertoire of interesting faces he chooses, but it’s enough to point out that Nino-kun gets a kick out of it and the little green blurb at the bottom asks “what’s with this opening?”
This Himitsu no Arashi-chan (ひみつの嵐ちゃん) has a share house segment and mannequin must-item segment, both hosted by Sakurai-san and Ninomiya-kun. As they enter, they complain about how long they had to wait on standby before being cleared to step onto the set.
To make up for the long wait, the director sends the guest to the door immediately – no light banter between the two hosts this time.
The guest is Yoshitaka Yuriko-san, who was in the movie GANTZ with Ninomiya-kun. She’s appeared on Himitsu no Arashi before, but not in the share house segment.
Matsumoto-kun and Aiba-kun host this episode of Himitsu no Arashi-chan (ひみつの嵐ちゃん), and they’ll probably be glad to get past Valentine’s Day. For the past two weeks, they’ve had to talk about it incessantly on their shows, and they start this one off discussing it again, even greeting each other with “Happy Valentine” as they enter the share house set.
They talk about fleeting memories of Valentine’s day . . .
. . . before the guests saved them. And we have a group of guests again this time – top female idols from the 70s to the 2000s. They each make a quick expression at the little door camera, but the screenshots were all blurry because they moved too fast.
Himitsu no Arashi-chan (ひみつの嵐ちゃん) is an hour-long variety show hosted by Arashi. This week, Sakurai-san and Ninomiya-kun handle a full-episode share house segment (which probably means it can’t really be called a ‘segment’ this time).
The last time Sakurai-san and Nino-kun hosted the show was on September 20th, with Nakashima Mika-san as the guest, so they start out by remarking how long it’s been. When he sits down, Nino-kun feels like the sense of distance between the couches has changed.
The guests today are women pros (女子プロ – joshi pro) – so they’ll be from various backgrounds. Right after Sakurai-san tells Nino-kun this . . .
. . . the doorbell rings . . .
. . . and there all seven of them are:
